Commercial Agricultural Mechanisation

We designed and led a market assessment of commercial agricultural mechanisation in Zambia, including primary data collection, focus group discussions and stakeholder interviews to evaluate the state of agricultural enterprises. Drawing on the assessment findings and enterprise diagnostics, we developed a tailored business and financial model for the sale of Czech machinery into Zambia’s agricultural sector, mapped linkages between Czech mechanisation companies and Zambian commercial farmers, and proposed blended finance structures, appropriate technologies and priority locations for private-sector development. Our recommendations were accepted by decision-makers and incorporated into the programme design. We are also advising a Zambian equipment supplier on a scalable, sustainable service-centre model through business and financial modelling.
